I’m a Site Reliability Engineer based in Burgos, Spain. I design and operate resilient infrastructure for systems that need to stay up.
Currently I lead infrastructure at Derecho.com, where I’m responsible end-to-end for a hybrid cloud platform spanning AWS, Hetzner, and Proxmox, modernizing a stack with 25 years of history. I’ve migrated legacy servers from Debian 7 to Debian 12/13, built out Terraform/OpenTofu with Terragrunt, written 30+ Ansible roles, established secure inter-environment communication via redundant WireGuard tunnels, and deployed observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. I have implemented a GitOps methodology on K3s using ArgoCD and secret management with HashiCorp Vault.
Before that I spent nearly three years at TuLotero, on a four-person systems team managing ~2,000 servers across 16 environments in 5 countries. There I learned how to scale infrastructure to handle 300K concurrent users during peak campaigns, run Prometheus + Thanos for long-term observability, and recover from critical security incidents under pressure.
Outside infrastructure I have a background in music production. I’ve taught audio engineering, scored short films and games, and fronted a death metal band. That side of me brings discipline, comfort with creative chaos, and a tolerance for projects with too many moving parts and a hard deadline — which turns out to be surprisingly relevant to running production systems.
